Our Visit to Shriners Children’s Hospital for National Superhero Day

A couple of weeks ago, we received one of the most exciting emails we could imagine:
“Superheroes Requested at Shriners Children’s Hospital for National Superhero Day.”

That was all we needed to hear.

We immediately dove into learning more about Shriners Children’s—a healthcare system that provides specialized pediatric care to children regardless of their families’ ability to pay. Their mission is one rooted in compassion, innovation, and the belief that every child deserves to heal in an environment filled with hope. We were moved. Inspired. And absolutely certain: we had to show up.

Planning began immediately. We coordinated logistics, pulled together costumes, and, most importantly, assembled a team of heroes ready to answer the call. Lucky for us, we’re surrounded by people who live and breathe this kind of work—people who train hard, live boldly, and understand the power of play and presence.

On the big day, our team included none other than Captain AmericaSpider-Man, and Ghost-Spider herself. Sure, there may have been a little multiverse-crossing, but we think the kids didn’t mind one bit. The heroes arrived suited up and ready for action—ready to remind the kids that bravery comes in all forms, and sometimes, superpowers look like resilience, laughter, and showing up for each other.

Throughout the day, our heroes handed out capes, posed for photos, told stories, and even showed off a few acrobatic moves. But the real magic wasn’t in the flips—it was in the smiles, the high fives, the awe, and the spark of imagination that filled the halls. For a few hours, hospital rooms turned into hero headquarters, and we were reminded of just how powerful shared joy can be.

We were honored—truly—to be invited into such a special space. We left feeling grateful, inspired, and more committed than ever to bringing energy and empowerment wherever it’s needed.

Got a cause or event where superheroes might be needed? We’d love to hear about it.
Because when heroes are called, we answer.
